Mapping Urban Areas from Space 2018
Background
In the frame of the EO Science for Society Programme Element, the European Space Agency is organising the second conference on Mapping Urban Areas from Space 2018 - MUAS 2018.
The purpose of this conference is to provide scientists and data users with the opportunity to present first-hand and up-to-date results from their on-going research and application development activities by using data from past and current Satellites.
The Conference will be held at ESA - ESRIN (Frascati - Italy) from 30 to 31 October 2018.
The outcome of this conference will help to further shape the next generation of R&D activities in the frame of ESA Earth Observation Programmes.
Participation
The conference is open to:
- Sentinels users
- Scientists
- Students
- Representatives from national, European and International Space Agencies, Institutions and Value Adding Industries
Organisation
The conference will be organized around:
- Oral and poster presentations selected by the Scientific Committee
A large number of potential thematic areas may be addressed during the conference from Remote Sensing methods to EO integration into urban development agendas.
Language and fees
The official language of the workshop is English. No participation fees will be charged.
Participants are expected to finance their own travel and accommodation expenses.
